I was going to start this blog off with the definition of love as defined by good ol' Webster. Come to find out, the definition given to me was not that simple. Quite complex actually. Solidifying my fascination with this word...love.
I love you. Mahal Kita. Eu te amo. Ana behibak. A universal saying. No matter how one may utter this particular combination of words its meant to convey the same feeling. But what is love? What compels the human race to love? A raw and seemingly simplistic emotion that is something we all experience from conception, if we're lucky.
But what drives us, as human beings, to say "I love you"? Its an amazing process. We feel elated to see the individual we deem worthy of our attention. Our thoughts may even become obsessed with the object of our affection....its a drug that we feed off and the more we feel this emotion...the more we crave. Its an uncontrollable appetite, yet we do not fear it in the least. We are born with this insatiable appetite for "love".
But it seems our happiness is based soley on our ability to love and to be loved. What would happen if we lost that ability?
